The collection consists of original documents relating to Georgia O'Keeffe's Abiquiu, New Mexico property dating from 1825 to 1897. The majority of the documents are handwritten in Spanish.

Overview

Two page handwritten land record on one piece of paper, front and back. Handwritten at the top of the first page is number eighteen and eleven varas. Main document dates from April 2, 1868, mentions Jose de la Luz Gallegos, Maria de la Luz Jaramillo, and Jose Anto Manzanares, and is followed by signatures. On the back is a County of Rio Arriba Probate Court seal next to a handwritten statement by Fernando Salazar dating from August 4, 1881. Separate notes on back mention Jose Anto Manzanares, Jose de la Luz Gallegos and Maria de la Luz Jaramillo, pueblo number eighteen, eleven varas, and Bajo del Pueblo.
