Rosen Papers Relating to Georgia O'Keeffe

 Collection
Identifier: MS-23

Scope and Content Note

The papers include five letters from Georgia O'Keeffe to Louis and Mary Rosen, dating from 1972 to 1983. There is an additional letter from John D. Clements to Louis and Mary Rosen, dated 1997. The Clements letter mentions a photograph of Georgia O'Keeffe with Louis and Mary Rosen, which is not included. There are three photographs of Georgia O'Keeffe, Claudia O'Keeffe and three other women from circa 1980s.

O'Keeffe's letters are brief greetings. Two mention visiting the project up on the hill. She is likely referring to the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE), which Louis Rosen directed from its inception in 1972 until 1985.
