The collection consists of research and presentation materials created by Sarah L. Burt, former staff member of The Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation, relating to Georgia O'Keeffe's Historic Properties, specifically the Abiquiu home and studio. Materials date from 1979 to 2002 and include correspondence, research material, writings, and photographic material. Two folders relate to the National Park Service and the National Historic Landmark Nomination for O'Keeffe's Abiquiu home and studio.

Biographical Note

Sarah L. Burt (1952-2015) was the projects manager for The Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation for almost 10 years. Some of the projects she worked on include the Georgia O'Keeffe Oral History Project, a photo research project about O'Keeffe's historic homes in New Mexico, and the National Historic Landmark Nomination for O'Keeffe's Abiquiu house and studio.

Later she worked as the curator at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska and curator at the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana.
