This photograph, and fourteen others, were probably enclosed in a letter from Marilynn Thuma dated September 4, 1970. Handwritten on verso: "These Forms are: Mariposa (Butterfly) 35' x 45' Almeja (clam) 28' x 36' Cuerno (horn) Only a part of Alcatraz the white lily can be seen on the table 48' x 36' All are in an unfinished state here."
