Overview

Margaret (Peg) Pack McKinley (b. 1927) is the daughter of Eleanor (Brownie) Hibben (1898–1992) and Arthur Newton Pack (1893–1975). In 1933 Pack established a guest ranch and nature preserve known as Ghost Ranch. O'Keeffe stayed in the Pack's house during her trips to New Mexico in the early 1930s and eventually purchased the house and six acres from Pack in 1940. Pack and his family were life-long friends of O'Keeffe. McKinley was interviewed by Sarah Burt.
