Overview

Arnold Newman (1918-2006) is acknowledged as one of the great masters of 20th century photography, in particular as it relates to portraiture. Newman was encouraged in his early work by Stieglitz and photographed both Stieglitz and O'Keeffe. Newman was interviewed by Jane Cook.

Robert (Bob) Donald Ray (1924-2002) was a painter who is a recognized member of the Taos Moderns. He met O'Keeffe on several occasions through their mutual friend, Otto Pitcher. Ray was interviewed by Jane Cook.

Ellen Bradbury Reid (b. 1940) is an art historian and Mabel Dodge Luhan scholar. She met O'Keeffe while director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe and convinced O'Keeffe to donate several paintings to the museum. Reid was interviewed by Sarah Burt.

Overview

Nancy Hopkins Reily (b. 1934) is a writer and photographer. She met O'Keeffe as a child when her family started spending summers in Abiquiu during the 1940s. Her aunt Helen Louise Morten (1900-1984) was a friend of O'Keeffe. Reily has published two books about O'Keeffe. Reily was interviewed by Sarah Burt.

Overview

Louis Rosen (1918-2009) was a physicist at Los Alamos Laboratories. He and his wife Mary (Terry) Rosen (1918-2004), an artist in her own right, became friends with O'Keeffe after being introduced by Elizabeth Allred, O'Keeffe's neighbor. Rosen was interviewed by Sarah Burt.

Overview

Benjamin Sanders owned an electronics business in Santa Fe. He met O'Keeffe in the 1950s and subsequently became the primary supplier of stereo equipment for both the Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch houses. Sanders and O'Keeffe shared a love of classical music and remained good friends over the years. Sanders was interviewed by Sarah Burt.

June O'Keeffe Sebring (b. 1928) is the niece of O'Keeffe and daughter of Alexius Wyckoff O'Keeffe and Elizabeth (Betty) Jones. She was a member of the board of directors of The Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation. Sebring visited O'Keeffe throughout the course of her lifetime. Sebring was interviewed by Sarah Burt.
