Remejio Archuleta (b. 1933) was born in Abiquiu, where he lived until 1949, when he moved to Sacramento, California. During his teen years, he was one of a team of young village boys who worked on the rehabilitation of O'Keeffe's Abiquiu house under the direction of Maria Chabot.
