Barney A. Ebsworth (b. 1934) is the founder and director of several companies including: Windsor, Inc., formed in 1979 for the purpose of providing financing for venture capital, real estate and other investments; INTRAV, a general agency formed in 1959 for the purpose of selling travel to individuals and businesses; Royal Cruise Line, formed in 1972; and, Clipper Cruise Line, formed in 1981. Ebsworth is well known for his important collection of American modern art. Ebsworth is also a Trustee of the Seattle Art Museum and a member of the Trustees Council and Co-Chairman of the Collectors Committee of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. In 1973, he bought O'Keeffe's Black White and Blue (1930) and in 1974 Music-Pink and Blue No. 1. He first visited O'Keeffe in Abiquiu in 1976, and the two became friends. Ebsworth is interviewed by Sarah Burt.
